CASA ITALIA

For the Paris 2024 Olympics, we created an immersive room within Casa Italia to honor winter sports in Italy, in anticipation of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The minimalist space featured four LED walls and a glossy dark floor and ceiling, allowing for highly reflective surfaces that created an effect of infinite reflections of the wall visuals. We integrated an interactive experience with Lidar sensors that tracked user movements; as users moved through the room, they could "unfreeze" visuals hidden behind ice walls to reveal graphic content. Additionally, we developed a trivia station interaction, where users could answer questions about winter sports on a touch screen.
