ITA AIRWAYS XP

For the Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games, ITA Airways created an experiential installation in Piazza San Carlo, Milan, designed as a dreamlike escape within the vibrant energy of the Olympic period. We conceived the entire space as an immersive journey divided into different narrative moments. The experience began with an entrance tunnel, where visitors passed through five LED rings, paying tribute to the Olympic Games and creating a symbolic transition from the city into a suspended, atmospheric world. The path then opened into an immersive room shaped by 2 LED walls and mirrored surfaces. Visitors moved only along a walkway, surrounded by dense fog at ground level, which transformed the floor into a soft layer of clouds. The sensation was that of walking through the sky, as if beginning an aerial journey. Across the surrounding screens, we created an immersive mountain landscape wrapped in the warm, gentle light of sunset. The space became a weightless dimension, where the beauty of the mountains, the poetry of flight, and the spirit of the Winter Olympics came together. Suspended between clouds, mirrors, and alpine light, visitors experienced a moment of calm and wonder, a dreamy journey above the mountains, set against the excitement and chaos of Milano Cortina 2026.
